Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
The Football Star

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
